RUMAH KASIH HARMONI (RKH) is a project to help orphans and less fortunate children. Guided by the vision to give children at risk a childhood and future by protecting, guiding and healing them, and by building strong communities and loving families.

OUR VISION:

We at RUMAH KASIH HARMONI (RKH) want to realize the full potential of our children. We want to ensure that they will be able to reintegrate their community as healthy, happy, responsible and independent adults.

OUR MISSION:

RKH’S mission is to cooperate and collaborate with local authorities and members of the community to offer a chance at life and a new start to orphans and other endangered children. We aim to give them a first-class education, access to necessary health services and, above all, the opportunity to grow up healthy and happy in a safe, caring, warm and familial environment. The home currently houses 48 children ranging from 5 to 12 years old. These children are attending school. 10 are in secondary school, 7 in primary school and 5 in kindergartens.

The home does not receive a fixed monthly income. It is now surviving on contributions from individuals and some coporate organization  and all persons involved in RKH  management and fundraising are unpaid volunteers.

(B) SPONSOR A CHILD

Make a difference by changing a child’s life today!

Organizations or individual child sponsors may get more personally involved with Shelter by sponsoring a child.

Your sponsorship will go towards quality child care which includes :

* Food and living expenses

* Personal clothing and medical fees

* Pocket money and other needs

* School fees, books, tuition, uniforms, transport, etc.

A child sponsor will receive an annual update of the child sponsored.

(C)  SPONSOR AN EXPENSE

Sponsor an expense such as our water bills or rental of premises. You can also opt to sponsor Shelter’s fixed operating expenses such as the following:

* Assessment rates

* Water bills

* Electricity bills

* Rental of premises

Your sponsorship of expenses will go a long way in defraying our standard operating expenses and help us to channel more funds towards service and child care expenses.

Would you like to show your support for the children, but are unable to make a personal financial contribution? There are plenty of other ways which you can help!

Supplies for the children

The orphanage is always in need of many items. Everything from clothing, blankets, medications to school supplies, books and even toys are always in great demand. While it is possible for donors to ship items to the orphanage. If you feel you or someone you know may be able to help, please contact us.

Help us get the word out!

It is said that “with many hands, the load is not heavy”.

So please be sure to tell your family members, friends and even your co-workers about RKH and the issues facing the children. The more people we are able to make aware, the greater the support we can provide.
